He holds a PhD in law (Doctorat d’ Etat) and a Master’s degree (DEA) of the University Paris I – Pantheon – Sorbonne in field of European law.
He has been a member the Thessaloniki Bar and practices as a lawyer since 1984 assisting Greek and foreign clients before Greek and state members of EU jurisdictions. Since 1999 he is habilitated to plead before the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court and the Counsil of State of Greece. He collaborates since 1999 with the Municipality of Thessaloniki as a member of its legal service on a regular basis
From 1988 until 2005 he has contributed on a regular basis as a scientific associate to the monthly law review “Armenopoulos” edited by the Thessaloniki Bar and from 1993 to 1999 as a scientific associate to the law review “ Bank-Bond-Stock Market Law review”. He has also been an associate of the CEREC (Center of Studies, Research and Education) in Paris delegated by the European Commission.He is a member of the national union of doctors in law (ANDD) of France.
